thebubba This is spot on. I have not had a chance to review SB9 and I really don't review the music. It was great, but more importantly, for me going solo to SB9, it brought together some euphoric feelings. As I sense from some netters, many of us have families. For me SB9 came at a perfect time as 1 of our 3 kids had left for Europe on 7/1. On Sunday, our youngest daughter (12) left for a summer camp about an hour and half from Watkins Glen. I drove up to meet her and my wife at the camp for drop off. Our daughter was so thrilled to back at camp, and as I left there (as other parents will attest), it is a beautiful feeling when your kids are happy - it is such a great high. Anyway, my drive back to the Glen reminded me of the euphoric feeling I had to Antelope and Mike's Groove at Alpine 1 in 2010, with our other daughter (15) for her first Phish show. I felt like I was soaring somewhere high above on such a natural high (digging Phish with our 15 year old was beyond words). So, I get back to the Glen in time for day 3 to be blown away by day 3's set list and the Forbin/Mockingbird and the rest of the songs. If anyone saw me, I just was smiling ear to ear all of Sunday, lost in a trance of euphoria induced by my real family and Phish. I can tell you that feeling is beyond priceless. Mix that in with riding my bike around the Watkins Glen hills over 4 days, well, I have left my SB9 wristband on to continue to remind me of what I was lucky to experience. Thanks.
