Juliusismypetcat This is a severely under-rated version in a show that I feel got next to no love last summer. I cannot believe it hasn't been jam-charted, and I only chalk that up to the numerous amazing versions of this song throughout the years. Awesome example of the so-called "micro jam".

n00b100 If you've ever seen Tube live (as I had before this show), you will know that Trey will turn to Fish and give him the nod when it's time to go into the bluesy stomp that heralds the last verse of the song. Well, I witnessed this version live, and I waited for Trey to turn to Fish...and I waited...and I waited...and I waited...and the jam was building and building...and then GOOD GOD WHAT A PEAK...and only then did Trey turn to Fish and give the nod, his mission accomplished. One of my most treasured live moments, and a true classic Tube.

Woahwoah Everyone's always like, "I hope they jam this Tube like they used to." Well, tonight they did.

Commander_Riker The melody line and guitar tone that Trey comes up with in the lead section is nothing short of genius.

n00b100 Tube was one of those songs that truly benefited from the Great Funk Revolution, as its breakdown was always more suited to the skittering minimalist treatment than the explosive rock of the mid-90s. This is the first truly great Tube, and maybe still the best, especially the vicious Tube Jam that follows the song proper (the fact that they busted into the jam at all shows how psyched they were about the funkiness presented). Super segue into Slave, as well. A personal favorite.
