This set closed “From the Big Apple to the Big Easy - The Concert for New Orleans,” a post-Katrina benefit that took place simultaneously at Radio City and Madison Square Garden. Dave Matthews added vocals for “Three Little Birds.” “Big Chief” and “Thank You...” featured Ivan Neville, Eric Krasno (Soulive), the Galactic horns, and the Wild Magnolia Mardi Gras Indians who paraded through the crowd and on the stage. Other acts included John Mayer, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Galactic, The Neville Brothers, The Meters, Dave Matthews and Tom Waits. Bill Clinton made a brief speech on the importance of contributing funds to the relief effort. Trey sat in for Dave Matthews’ acoustic set on “Everyday” and “Bathtub Gin.”
