The only Phish performance of Never is subdued and pretty, but the song is right in the vein of Driver and its not hard to see why it never made the rotation.
Possum is a strange choice for an acoustic treatment, and is played in standard style, complete with Trey soloing. I'm Blue, I'm Lonesome gives you a taste of Mike's banjo playing, but i'ts the acapella Freebird that gets the most enthusiastic response from the crowd of non-Phish fans. They especially love the singing of the outro guitar solo, and its a joy to hear the crowd's response on the audience tape.
Driver's debut is unremarkable, but an acoustic Harry Hood is somewhat novel and seems to surprise the crowd. Neil Young comes out for the last 5 minutes or so but doesn't contribute much to the jam. Helpless is a gorgeous rendition with great harmonies.
