2 Down, 6 To Go... The first two sets from Festival 8 are in the books (setlist here and available for download through LivePhish). Highlights included a first set "Stash" and strong versions of "DWD," "Piper," and "Hood" (complete with Open Burble) from the second set. Trey also announced that "David Bowie" provided a hint about Halloween's musical costume -- which, no doubt, means we can eliminate Hunky Dory as a possibility.

Yeah, Trey wouldn't give it away like that. At this point, I kind of want to hear Kid A. All the others I can picture how Phish would do it, but I have no idea what they would do with Kid A.
im really stumped, who nows. bt wefin tonight. but i think eliminating hunky is not fact yet, not at all.
This is a stretch!! ON HONKY dOjRY THERE IS A SONG FOR BOB DYLYN WHO WAS A HERO AND INFLUINCE TO NONE OTHER THAN jIMI hENDRIX
LADY LAND FOR ME
In a few interviews with Trey that I have read, and one radio conversation with a station in Atlanta he states thay he really thinks highly off MGMT, and likes them as a upcoming band. I could see that being it.
So the clue was the song "David Bowie". The David Bowie album in the running was "hunky dory", which has a song named "song for bob dylan". Bob Dylan wrote all along the watchtower which is on Jimi Hendrix's album "electric ladyland", which is the one he has in the running. I am hearby calling an all along the watchtower opener.
