andrewrose I always think it's a mistake to think of Phish as on some kind of linear trajectory. That's not to say it isn't useful to compare one tour to the next, or one year to the next, but the fact is some nights they're on, and some nights they ain't. Am I the only one that thinks that some of the best stuff they've done so far in 3.0 happened in 2009? The 7/31 Drowned-> Crosseyed, the 8/7 Sneakin' Sally and Bathtub, the 11/28 Seven Below-> Ghost, the 12/29 Tweezer, the 12/30 Back on the Train, the 12/31 Ghost. As a whole the playing may be more consistent in 2011, but that doesn't mean that the jams or individual shows are straight up better.
