History

This classic Bob Marley tune was covered only once, during the second set of the band’s somewhat strange and excellent 4/21/92 Eureka, CA gig. Fishman took the stage to (wretchedly) sing lead while playing bass along with Trey on drums and Mike debuting his hitherto unexplored skills on vacuum. Following this interesting rendition of the classic reggae song, the band began to apologize for their sarcastic performance, which escalated madly into a brief but hilarious vocal jam. Fans of the song will also want to visit Trey’s performance on 6/13/02 in Albany, NY, where “Push On ‘Til the Day” included a “Lively Up Yourself” jam.
