Jeg vil gerne have en pølse med brød! Roskilde! This may be the largest annual European music festival, and this year's lineup featured Radiohead, Beck, David Byrne, Pavement, Primus, and Phish. That's a hell of a lineup -- Radiohead and Phish being worth the price of admission alone (though at this point in time Radiohead hadn't broadened their repertoire to the point it is now). YEM opener is very good, as is Taste -- this is the 8th in 11 shows this tour, and signals the impending Theme later in the set. BAtR / BoMD are "whatev" as they say, Chalkdust is standard, Theme is typically great, and Zer0 is Zer0. My Soul'd and we're on the way to Amsterdam. There's not enough here to be super stoked, though the first YEM of tour (a solid one taboot), and another excellent Taste / Theme pairing compel me to leave this one with 3 stars. It's nice playing in a suboptimal setting. Up next, AMSTERDAM!

Another average, run of the mill show. Nothing really stood out other than the first YEM of the tour (which was a set opener!) Theme is always a great song to hear and My Soul closed out the show nicely. These one set shows feels like you're getting cheated but, hey, its a festival. And a festival is an awesome way to broaden your fan base.

A very very Average show

I like any show that opens with YEM. It's something that knocks you off your feet right away. This YEM is slightly stretched out but pretty straightforward. There's nothing else really noteworthy about this show besides yet another strong Theme. However I can't really knock it down below average because the playing is fantastic as always. Just very average festival show. Nothing wrong with those from time to time!

SET 1: You Enjoy Myself: Some crazy synth sounding stuff from Page during tramps.

Taste: Trey is super pumped during Page’s rousing solo, he is yelling and screaming – egging Page on! Pretty good version but doesn’t touch some of the great versions. Trey is a little sloppy in the climax and in the ending composed part.

Bouncing Around the Room: Standard, nice solo.

Beauty of My Dreams: Standard.

Chalk Dust Torture: Standard.

Theme From the Bottom: Thought Trey’s solo sounded very good.

Character Zero: Trey just rages his solo.

ENCORE: My Soul – Standard.

Replay Value: None.

Summary: A much better set than the Glastonbury Festival. But nothing here necessarily that I feel I would ever need to revisit.
