Trey teased the Theme from S.W.A.T. in Punch You in the Eye and Prince Caspian during David Bowie. Following the My Friend, My Friend jam, which featured the band singing "Myfe" at both the beginning and end, Trey commented "we heard some of you thought we forgot the 'Myfe.' We did not." Trey then quoted My, Friend, My Friend at the end of Carini. During I Didn't Know, Trey introduced Fish as "he's dressed in green, he's the baddest vacuum player you've ever seen, a permanent resident of Fish town, Mr. Moses Heaps, Mr. Moses DeWitt, and Mr. Moses Vincent." Trey subsequently sang alternate lyrics about being "that far gone." Wilson was introduced as being "about an area that you know very well if you live up here" with "the homeland" later mentioned in the song.

Review by 90MinuteJam

90MinuteJam The Mann is the balls. Lawless excitement. Meet at the fountain, pee in the woods, grass tailgates, see old friends, Philly pretzels, wait in long lines to get in cause it's all last minute. It's a gem of a place. The boys know it. Hell of a show. Thank you Phish from Vermont.

Fourteen shows deep in this tour, and quite appreciative that they bring energetic uniqueness to each show. If you went to Folsom, it was an amazing weekend. If you went to the Moody, it was amazing, if you went to SNHU it was amazing, and of course if you went to Mann N1 it was amaz-a-balls. That, my friends, is talent at the highest.

Review by nesta

nesta I concur with everybody's reviews and opinions on this marvelous night of music. The older I get, the more I make life decisions based on the ratio of energy spent against soul refreshment. I have to admit that tonigit was a full blown soul refresher. Thank you for the smiles of acceptance and the tears of self-realization. I needed tonight in my life story.
I do have one negative... Where was federal donuts? 😕 I needed all the sugar.I could muster to keep me up right through the night.

Review by PhillyPhilly

PhillyPhilly 40. Minute. SAND. The SandMann. And this was not a meandering jam. Insane peaks followed peaks, somehow peaks jammed into space/ambience and back again. Truly incredible music. The hose, the hose, the HOSE.

The presence of this SAND in the show taken alone would suffice to put this set in rarified air, but the MFMF is a sick jam in its own right, Trey screaming about the knife over ascending mountains of sound. Boogie On and Blaze On are high energy but concise versions. And then Carini at only 9+ min is a straight fire rocking version.

An astounding 5 song S2. Did they need to play a 4 song encore? They did not but it was that kind of show. Wilson > Possum was a great closing 1-2 punch.

Oh and S1 opened with a unique PYITE with extended jamming in the opening and then straight into a legit 16 min version of ER. Bowie closer was beautiful with Caspian quotes.

A privilege and joy to witness tonight . See you tomorrow .

Review by DownWithSteam

DownWithSteam Yet another grand installment here for Summer 2025. This show has a lot to offer in the first set, and is capped off with a truly great Bowie. Very agreeable Phish, Caspian was also a very great version.

But its all in this 2nd set. A 40 min sand that truly feels like it goes by in 15 mins tops. It had me in a trance. Incredible version at the Mann tonight. My Friend after was almost just as good. Holy cow, B2B incredible jams. On a freaking tuesday night no less. Blaze On > Carini was high energy madness and perfect phish. You cannot go wrong in this perfect 2nd set.The band is having a blast and so are we. This is a show to remember, like so many this tour have been. Oh and did I mention the 4 song encore. Good god it sucks this band is expensive as hell and im poor.

Set One: B
Set Two: A+

Rating: 4.5

Review by yam_ekaj

yam_ekaj after a long review hiatus, i had to get on the record for this show.

i have been a critical reviewer in the past, even once being downvoted so many times on a negative review of a Chicago 2018 show that i was automatically banned from .net for 48 hours. so i will stick to my roots and say that the first set was fairly regular. some extra sauce on the Punch intro, a solid Everything's Right, a treat to hear Camel Walk. the closing Bowie also found itself in some interesting places; the ending felt a bit abrupt when they went to the closing trills, but check out the preceding few minutes.

i discuss the first set just to note that the frame didn't make me think they were headed toward a massive jam. there were no crazy bustouts, the type-2 was relatively sparse and, to be honest, it felt like Trey was a bit out of sorts (didn't help that he seemed to have some technical problems with his rig). but then all of a sudden they were humming along in Sand, 14-15 mins in just flying, hose spraying everywhere. Around 23 minutes or so, there's a section where it could've easily ended--or gone into Ghost, had they not played it the show before. but instead they pressed on, but unlike some long jams that feature spacey, near-rhythmless sections as they find their footing, this one nearly instantly morphed into a pulsing, darker jam. eventually, they moved back into a Albany-YEM-meets-Weekapaug jam (similar to the initial long hose section), but Trey employed some octave effects and Fishman pushed the pace that echoed the timbre of '99 jams.

the whole jam, to me at least, was played with a beautiful mixture of razor-sharp intentionality and flow-state spontaneity. some may disagree, but i really appreciated how long they sat in each section (until the very end), letting the ideas run their course, never rushing to find something new, but seizing opportunities to push the jam whenever they presented themselves. to quote the texts i sent a friend after the Sand concluded: "that was the real uncut shit. freebase phish. As Good As It Gets."

the rest of the show was excellent: awesome My Friend My Friend, inspired choice with Boogie On. the encore's closing two songs, Wilson and Possum, were played with with verve that matched the electric atmosphere that had been percolating in the venue since the tenth minute of Sand, when Shit Got Serious.

if i had written this review last night, it would have simply said "Hell Yeah." the second set (and the Sand in particular) is simply why we do all this. it's why we scavenge for tour dates rumors, scramble to book hotels, route road trips across the country, find excuses to get out of work--all to see shows and jams like last night. Hell Yeah indeed.

Review by A_Beautiful_Buzz

A_Beautiful_Buzz Last night was absolutely spectacular!! @yourmother and I scored great seats in the pavilion during the lottery so this was the first time we had pav at The Mann.
Can we talk about that set list? Oh boy! First of all they played a bunch of my favorite songs (I have a lot of favorite songs lol) AND I called that Camel Walk!! I yelled it out loud twice and lo and behold they busted out Camel Walk!! Everyone around us was looking at me like I was magic! It was definitely a Phish highlight for me.
That second set was absolute fire 🔥 🙌🔥
I didn’t stop dancing through the entire show practically, even though it was a billion degrees and I had sweat dripping off every part of my body! (Helpful hint: on hot nights like that, bring a hand fan to cool you down and a bandana to dab the sweat off).
The 40 min Sand was phenomenal. Hubby and I took a walk during set break to try and find some of our friends and when Phish came out with Sand we were boogiein’ all around the lawn and then down the stairs to get back to our seats. It’s so fun stopping to dance with everyone as you try to get to wherever it is you are headed.
Last night was a really fun show. I could barely keep the SMILE off my face!! 😁
Thank you Phish, CK5 and everyone who helps put the show together!! Thank you for 30 years of pure MAGIC!!

Review by Phishiscool

Phishiscool Hot band on a hot night. Yes all second set but first set was brilliant. Everything this show offered was fabulous. A mighty collection of songs. Theme to Bowie was absurd.
Sand was fabulous but my friend sealed the deal. Listen to the second set. Listen to the first.
Shade was infecting. What a truly wonderful night with friends and family.
Bridge dancers are the real fcking heroes.

Review by _WOTC_

_WOTC_ Set 1: I thought first set started hot (both literally and on stage).. then got cold (both with vibes and “It’s Ice”).

During “About to Run” was thinking if I should bail early but it started to bring the vibes back. Bowie brought the vibes back pretty high to close set 1.

Set 2: 30+ min Sand was not a hot start.. weather cooled down and felt better. But moving on towards My Friend My Friend brought back hope. And Boogie was the song of the show - VIBES SKY HIGH for rest of set!

Encore: started off with shade and then 3 more classics!

Overall: B+ to A- show

Review by jive1twoandlee

jive1twoandlee Can we talk about this Punch?? Holy hell, just right off the bat getting into the nitty gritty. Super explorative in the first half, a keeper for sure! Everything's Right is the best feeling ever. Extreme relaxation.

Sand is a superb bliss experience, tastes like heaven! Extremely responsive playing from each of the guys, locked in at galactic levels. There are these moments where they just line up perfectly with each other, gives me the chicken skins. It feels like a family up there. The 3rd act gets a little crazy, but it still feels compact and thought out.

My Friend, My Friend is having a genuine renaissance in 4.0, and I feel like we should talk about that more. Just this summer, we've had at least 3 Myfe highlights, how many others tours can you say that about? This one in particular is damn crazy, both hazy and happy, total roller coaster. Myfe.

This summer is out of control, and I can't get enough of it. I loved all of this show, it has something to offer everywhere. Action, comedy, revenge, true love; something for everyone. Check out all of it, but especially the Punch > Everything's Right, Sand, and Myfe. Instant classics

Review by jcrosby

jcrosby N1 was so wonderfully Phish! And Phish in Philly!!
A fun romp of classic funky grooves, some BB beauty, plenty o evil! A genteel MFMF?!

Myfe! Moses! KoP! -- stage banter will always be my favorite song ;)

Sandmann will outlive us all.

I am sure N2 will add yet more surprising superlatives, in true 2025 fashion. Such joy, pay it forward
