the reason Trey didn't sing some of the lyrics to Chalk Dust was due to the people that ran on stage. Trey was disgusted, or at least that was my impression standing up front near him and Paige, if memories serves me, and I should just go listen, I believe they cut the song short. They weren't happy about the "white caps" as they were referred to back then. Essentially they were frat brothers that were there stirring up trouble in the lot and in the seats.
