Review by RovingReporter

RovingReporter What a freakin' show. Even though I didn't know Trey was going to sit-in -- no one in my group did -- I had mentioned Trey being under house arrest in the county. I made a comment about how amazing it would be if Trey showed up.

On the way down from Plattsburgh I got a weird vibe, chilling if you will, that the show was going to be special.

Walked into the venue where Phish did The White Album in 1994, immediately ran up to the front (we were the first ones in) and sure enough, Trey's 'Doc was sitting there, right next to Phil's Modulus.

The energy was insane, and the show's songs by the Dead each referenced jail, being arrested or having a run-in with the law. Listen to the place EXPLODE during Bertha when Trey sings, "Test me, test me, why don't you arrest me." I was standing on the rail, drinking Trey's sweat. The shit-eating grin on his face when he sang that line was one of the happiest moments of my life.

The Viola>Cumberland>Viola is NOT to be missed. I am a raging Dead and Phish fan, and out of all the collaboration shows between members of each band, this is by far the best. And I saw every 2006 Summer Tour Phil/GRAB show.

What this show comes down to is basically that Phil is the ultimate person. Prior to the show, he had the mayor of Glens Falls give Trey the key to the city. Phil is like a second father to Trey in many ways, and I truly believe he helped Trey overcome a time in his life he'd rather forget. This show has everything for everyone. A must-hear.

Trey's playing is a little shy, yet super tight, in the first set. Second set? He FUCKING shreds and lets loose, while never letting that smile fade from his face. Top five concert I've ever attended; possibly my favorite. Download it. Listen to it. Love it.
