Date Song City Timing Notes
1993-07-30 Reba Antioch, TN 13:56 A pretty, inspired, patient, and increidbly quiet jam (check this out with headphones) which, in addition to melodic, and typically inventive Trey, features wonderful work from Page. Mike and Fish maintain a breezy, airy sort of rhythm as the version steadily gains momentum, the musicians nicely modulating, before Trey trakes over, building the jam to a blistering peak.
1993-07-30 Fluffhead Antioch, TN 14:43 Little sprinkles of improvisational play throughout this great version, and Page is notably strong. Who Do? We Do! is dynamic and filled with great Fish, leading the team. Mike compliments Page's solo in Clod quite nicely, while Trey and Fish stretch the celebratory victory lap in Arrival out just a bit. There is a cool, gradual fade-out to this version, with Trey switching to acoustic guitar.
1994-05-03 Stash Antioch, TN 9:52 Enchanting little version that shifts back and forth from minor to major mode several times, then explores.
1994-05-03 Slave Antioch, TN 9:46 Excellent quiet '94-style space early in the jam, with a very gradual uptick in the intensity. Sick trilling by Trey.
1999-07-01 Roggae Antioch, TN 9:31 Jerry Douglas on dobro, Ronnie McCoury on mandolin and Tim O'Brien on fiddle. A wonderful version.
1999-07-01 BOTT Antioch, TN 6:09 Jerry Douglas on Dobro, Ronnie McCoury on mandolin, and Tim O'Brien on fiddle on this bluegrass version. Great short version!
1999-07-01 Caspian Antioch, TN 8:38 Some really fine, unusually restrained but passionate soloing by Trey is followed by wonderful Page soloing without the usual noisy closing chords. Instead, Page's solo > to "YEM."
1999-07-01 YEM Antioch, TN 27:40 Phat and funky! Huge thunderstorm during this version.
2000-06-22 LxL Antioch, TN 9:36 Why many folks consider the "LxL" jam somewhat similar to The Grateful Dead's "Crazy Fingers." Trey soars in this version.
2000-06-22 CDT Antioch, TN 9:35 Scorching hot.
2000-06-22 Jibboo Antioch, TN 12:48 Swift and high-energy playing throughout. A clean, linear build in energy, from patient and quiet interplay between Page and Trey at the beginning, building with whale call bends and rotary swirl, finally ascending to a heavenly peak. Very happy and massive hose during the peak; spacey jam on the back end -> to "2001."
2000-06-22 Sand Antioch, TN 11:02 An interesting jam which takes a more reserved, melodic route with Fish playing unaccompanied for a time as the band comes down to near silence briefly. The latter part of the jam includes some effects from Page and a nice ascending progression.
2000-06-22 Hood Antioch, TN 2:32 Robbie McCoury on banjo, Ronnie McCoury on mandolin, and Sam Bush on fiddle. "Hood" intro -> "Dog Faced Boy" > "Hood." Unfortunately the AUD recording does not do justice to this cool instrumental arrangement. KS - Live Bait Vol. ?
2000-06-22 Dog Faced Boy Antioch, TN 2:13 -> in from the intro to "Hood." Robbie McCoury on banjo, Ronnie McCoury on mandolin and Sam Bush on fiddle. "Dog Faced Boy" is played in entirety in the intro. > back to "Hood."
2000-06-22 Hood Antioch, TN 13:57 > in from "Dog Faced Boy." This great "Hood" now launches, but the AUD recording does not do justice to the great and different instrumentation.
2000-06-22 YEM Antioch, TN 21:11 EXCELLENT jam segment.
