Great recap! Only a Lizard—many of whom are all practically extinct from doing things smart people don’t do—would think they could encapsulate everything that happened during that show in one review. Your approach was the right one: telling it the way you saw it. From my perspective, the energy in that venue on that night was unrivaled by anything I’ve experienced in my short-ish time following the band—that includes the penultimate Glazed night to close out the Bakers Dozen run (my previous number one live Phish experience). The music, the production, the community were all amazing for this NYE show. I’ll cherish the memory of that famous mockingbird flying over me with the helping friendly book swaying beneath its clutched talons for a long time. Bring on the Woodlands 2024!
