runningrob This: "I was also looking around the room and seeing so many men (it is a Phish show!) dancing with their friends and I am so glad there is a place in this world where men can dance together and experience joy and catharsis communally. We need more of this."

When I sing "there most be something more than this" and I ask what that "more" is, I've decided that "more" could just be the joy of dancing with 18,000 other fans, living in the moment, and being thankful for the gift that so many will never get to experience.

I saw my first show on 4/23/22 and last night marked my 17th show. I can't really put into words what it is that caused me to fall so deep but I think if I had to pick one thing, it would be the ability to fully express the music through my body without feeling judgement. I think many boys are taught that dancing isn't masculine and so they never embrace it....and it's a shame. I never feel more overflowing with love and compassion than I do after spending 3+ hours dancing on the floor.

I have two daughters that are heavily into dance here in NYC and I've thanked them for opening my eyes to dance (they tell me I still can't dance...). Well thank you Phish as well and any of you who put up with me stepping on their shoes the last 17 shows.

Thanks for the great review. I agree that there were lots of great moments (I could do 2001 every night of the year) in the show but they never quite came together in a cohesive chunk. More ended and I just wanted a little more. But the beauty of it is that we still have one more night! Happy New Years Eve!
