Thanks for the tip. The first night of Bill Graham is one of the few shows that I haven't heard the soundboard from. I have heard the tapers' recording, but only once and it's been months. I'll have to go back and check that. Also thought the STFTFP from Holmdel was pretty hot, while we're on that song. Speaking of Holmdel, I'd be curious to know where it fell in on this list. There were a couple of posts on here claiming that SPAC was superior to Fall Tour. I'd be willing to bet that anyone not super high on Fall Tour didn't hear much of it.

I agree, Facts. I was at SPAC and have listened to all of the Fall tour, only attending Hampton3. Maybeeee SPAC3 approaches what Fall Tour brought but I would argue that point as well. SPAC3 was alotta fun with a rainy 1st set and awesome 2nd set but I never considered it close to Hampton,Worcester, AC, Hartford or Reading in overall rating. Fall was just a different animal

Yes, I'm with you totally. I made Bangor, SPAC2+3, and both Worc. shows. I really enjoyed SPAC. I had a great time at Bangor. The weather, the soundcheck jam, the whole vibe was great and thought the 1st set was stellar at Bangor. SPAC3 was certainly a level above Bangor, but the Worcester shows were on a totally different level from that. I can't put Bangor in the same conversation as Reading, Hampton3, et al, and yet it compares well to most of the 3-night SPAC run. SPAC3 was a very good show and would have been a top show perhaps in any other year since the reunion, but was not at the same level as some of the shows we're talking about from Fall Tour, or even for that matter as the Gorge or Tahoe.

What I liked at SPAC3 were It's Ice, Walls, Mound and the first 45 minutes of set 2. At the time it was top shelf but as the year wore on they topped all the versions of those songs with better ones. I really view whole beginning of Summer Tour as kind of a warm up. They got out of the gates somewhat slowly this year.
