Problem with the Gorge would be trying to decide between night 1 and night 2. Lots of differing opinions there. Amongst those in attendance, doing the webcast, or just listening back. Such a solid two nights, with highlights and phlow throughout.
- Re: Gorge2, I'm just not as much a fan of this show as others. Again, I really like the first set, but the second set has a nice looking setlist that just doesn't deliver. The DWD> Undermind is an outstanding segue, but outside of that neither jam does a lot for me. The Sally is great, but, again, just not enough there to make my Top 10. I (slightly) prefer the first night of the Gorge.

My only two shows of 2013 were at the Gorge and I've never been able to objectively compare shows I've been at with ones I haven't. That said, if there are ten shows better than both the Gorge from last year, the boys are playing even better than I thought.

Personally, I preferred Gorge 1 over Gorge 2. For me, the second night's first set felt really disjointed. They raged After Midnight to close and I liked a few other moments, but there didn't seem to be much flow - it didn't help that they took 2-3 minutes between each song to figure out what to play next. I really enjoyed the second set of that show.

Gorge 1 just had tremendous energy throughout - from Trey really enjoying the Russell Wilson chant to the entire second set. And easily the best Character Zero I've ever seen. The moon howl had the place just buzzing with electricity. Really fun show.

Hoping for some more PNW love this year - I'd especially love some indoor Phish in the fall in Seattle and Portland! Will always love the Gorge, but wouldn't mind having our "home show" be closer than five hours away!
