everyone wants to be surprised. i am always surprised by this band, and i have not forgotten to expect surprises, nor have many other fans. in our defense:

no one wants to be hoodwinked into thinking tradition will be upheld, and it takes a lot of balls, ego, or lack thereof to present your own new album in lieu of a classic album.
it was cool to be different, but another night would have been better in my opinion.
