my first show was at the greek theatre in berkeley in august of 93. is it any wonder why i've been hooked ever since? great write up. i was in awe of the absolute precision the band kicked out that night. listening back, it's still one of my favorite shows to have attended. this next run at dicks will take me to 70 shows which i know isn't very much for the patrons of these pages - but august 93 was one hell of a run for the band and i feel so lucky to have seen them back then.

does anyone remember when 'simple' was referred to as the 'skyscraper jam'? when i was at the warfield in 94 and they played 'simple' for the "first" time people around me were saying they finally made something out of the skyscraper jam. i just don't have any tapes with 'skyscraper jam' listed. if you know of any shows that have pre-simple jams - let me know. i'd like to hear them.
