i logged in specificaly to tell you the the "mean spirited response" you're getting is due 100% to the ridiculous nature of the glowstick wars. god d@mn it is to friggin stupid. all it does is create trash and hit people in the head. the band ain't gonna play no harder because a bunch of dopes in the stands wasted a bunch of money and created a bunch of trash that is going to sit for decades in a landfill. not to mention the people who have to clean it up. not to mention the totally juvenile nature. not to mention the idiots who crawl along the ground scavenging for these stupid glowsticks while the band is jamming. missing the whole jame just so you can toss a fistfull of glowsticks is just plain dopey. you want to pretend it's all for a good cause, then fine, be my guest, but as the other guy said, if you really wanted to do that you could just donate the money. i don't know how any venue lets you guys in with all these glowsticks.
