Frequently Asked Questions

Horn

The FAQ is currently in the process of being updated in the new system. We apologize for any inconvenience, and will be updating this page as soon as possible.

The opening lyrics are believed to be "car horn, dry wine". Alternate suggestions include "why warn? car horn" and "car horn whine whine". The liner notes to Rift indicate "rhine wine, car horn", if you want to trust that. ;)

BTW, the song starts in E but then modulates minor chords.

Special thanks to Jeff Mital, Pete McCaffrey, and Keith H. Putnam.

"Once I was driving three cats to the vet. They were loose, running around my feet, and since I'm allergic, I needed to get out of the car fast. But then 'Nellie Kane' by Hot Rize came on, so I just went around and around the cul-de-sac in front of the vet's office until the song was over."
