Subject: 4/30/92 YEM & Tweezer Date: Tue, 27 Jan 1998 11:25:42 -0800 (PST) From: Charles Dirksen 4/30/92 Barrymore Theater, Madison, WI The Tweezer of this set opened so uniquely that I figured that I should check out the YEM.. this isn't going to be much of a review, unless something catches my ears as being unique for 1992. Nirvana at 2:07, Mike's solo section psychotic & spooky.. Trey's shots at the Note are frankly not that great. "Boy" at 5:26. (these timings are off because this copy is a bit sped up) WUDMTF segment typically good. Signals for the trampolines moves. Tramps section is typical, but the jam segment, which starts out around 9:45, is pretty fired up. Me and My Arrow signal from Trey at 11 minutes or so (a rare signal!). And Trey teases Dave's Energy Guide at 12:10 or thereabouts. Otherwise, a straightforward 1992 YEM -- rock star Trey all the way, with great accompaniment from Fish, Mike and Page! Bass and drums section begins at 13:24. Mike and Fish are really tight -- Mike cuts loose from the start, but the groove is repetitive and, though pretty, isn't phaaaaaat. Closing WUDMTF section begins at 14:47, and vocal jam ensues within the usual 20 or so seconds. No comment on the vocal jam, except there is an amusing quote/jam of the "Welcome Christmas" song that the people of Whoville sing in "The Grinch Stole Christmas." BWEAHGAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA.. this is hysterical. This is definitely going to be saved on one of my mixed tapes. BWAHAHAAHAHAA.. the closing of this vocal jam is typically deranged. Total time 18:53 (Horse starts up right out of the vocal jam >). The 30 seconds or so of that tune from the Grinch Stole Xmas pushes the rating up to B-...
