Hiya phriendly phish pholk,
I was at Mountain Stage on Sunday to see Phish for my phirst time. Althogh
I'd much rather have seen em at a cozy little venue I've just been jonesin' to
here the live jive. Their sey was only 20 minutes long but it still made the
six hour drive well worthit with a Laughing Fall Apart, All things Considered
groove, Landlady (I think), and Foam. It was a weird situation for the band
cause the audience was almost entirely old folks or families and a lot of
people were rather dressed up. The govorner and his wife were ther to, just
two rows in front of us, oooh wow. Obviously Phish played excellently but they
understandably didn't have the same energy as a live show. They made quite an
impression not only with music, but with phish phans dancing in the aisles
durring all the acts. Buckwheat Zaedico(sp?) was the headliner, playing two
real good cajun style jazzy/funky sets including Midnight Hour as the closing
tune.
On another note, I'm starting a tape collection, have lots of blanks and
already a good number of bootlegs. I'm willing to tape stuff and mail it or
send blanks or whatever. E-mail please!
      Thanks in advance,
                Brian B.
