Theme From the Bottom

conormac Personally I think this is one of the most energetic and powerful Theme's in recent memory. Stays Type I, but blew the roof of the MGM and really set up a powerful and unique Suzy G. 1st set highlight Sunday Vegas '16 show for this guy.

n00b100 Actually a nice yin-yang comparison with the Santa Barbara Theme, as that version was so smooth in its move to the Echoes jam, whereas this version is punchy, grimy, and even a touch psychedelic (Trey's playing at the 9-10 minute mark is not too far away from what Mike does in the Miami Weekapaug). Bonus points, of course, for the all-world segue into Cities, to the point where one wishes .net had created a new jam chart just for Theme From the Bottom -> Cities from 12/31/14.

n00b100 One of my favorite Fall tour jams; just relentless momentum coming out of the final verse, so much so that I think "Theme -> Jam" would not entirely be out of order. Gotta love when the guys just lock into a groove this fierce.

Bulletproof Just when I was about to be bummed with the placement of Theme in the second hole in the second set they go and completely blow me away. Excellent and completely unexpected jam. Moments like these are why I see Phish whenever possible.

surpher This version deserves noteworthy status.
The funk jam that starts at the 7 minute mark is so fun.
Page on the Clavinet. C'mon!

n00b100 Absolutely outrageous fun from a show that deserves *way* more press than it gets, *especially* considering the tour in which it resides.

mochalex This is one of my favorite Themes. I love that recurring haunted phrasing Trey does.
