n00b100 Possibly *the* great one-off jam in Phish's catalog, of which there are a fair number of contenders.

CreatureoftheNight The fantastic Denver Jam! Trey and Mike start out the type II section bobbing and weaving past each other. Silky smooth. Around the 3-4 minutes, the pulse gets groovy. I can hear some of this style in the Island Tour and Summer 98. By 6 minutes, things slow down with Trey hitting sustained whole notes and bliss is found around 8:30. Around 11 minutes a low, disconcerting growl makes its voice heard until the eventual > into JJLC.
