Back on the Train

DanDanNoodles Long time Phan, but this was my first show. BOTT absolutely blew my mind. They jammed it so hard and long, totally took my breath away. Very thankful this was my introductory show, because it was the best concert experience of my life. They played so well that night, and every consecutive night got better and better.

GoonieBuff I'm not a BOTT fan, but damn, this version made me one.

n00b100 And, with this comment, I have completed the entire set of songs from 7/31/15 II. Nothing special, for certain, other than the fact that it bridges a superb Twist and equally superb Reba with genuine segues and that it's the *breather* song for this immense, immense set. So, I dunno, maybe a tiny bit special.

ImissJohnnyBgoode Possibly the most bad-ass version of this song.

n00b100 There is probably no greater example of damning with faint praise than what I'm about to say about the 6/14/00 BOTT: this is the finest "Type I" jam the band has ever played, a 17-odd minute ambling journey that doesn't match, say, 12/30/09's version for breaking out into improv, but explores every single last inch of the envelope in which Back on the Train is contained. A truly fine start to one of the all-timeiest of all-time sets.
