20YearsLaterThis show was the greatest Phish side-band show I've seen (admittedly, I've never seen a Pork Tornado show!). I arrived at the Vic really early to get a good seat, and my reward was listening to the soundcheck with my ear pressed to the Vic's front door. The soundcheck was a nameless amazing jam. Trainwreck was totally unexpected and really damn funny. Vida Blue's jams were tight, creative, and compelling. The Vic is a small venue and all three band members really connected with the crowd throughout the show. "You Never Can Tell" got the whole place twisting a la 'Pulp Fiction.' KG's guitar solo in Lawnboy was surprisingly pretty. For some reason, I just didn't expect Vida Blue to be THIS amazing.
