Show was solid and consistent throughout. Excellent, high energy jams in both sets which really distinguishes this show from others this tour. If you're looking for a well-rounded, well-played Phish - get this one now.

Last night was a ton of fun. Lot scene was pretty chill, considering HoCo's finest were out in force like they usually are at MPP.

While very familiar with Phish's music, last night was only my 6th show (I'm an old crusty Dead Head who never jumped on board until 09). Caught a lot of firsts last night... Daniel, Access Me, Vultures, Sand, Roses, On your Way Down, Waves, ABQ, and Wading. Loved all my firsts, 'cept Wading. I get Wading, it's just too repetetive and slow for me.

Last night had a "Saturday night" setlist feel to it, with lots of classic hits. I'm still too much of a noob to be sick of AC/DC Bag, Wilson, Antelope, Chalk Dust, or even RandR. Love those tunes!

The band was on. I couldn't pick out a flub if it was wearin' a tee shirt that said, "Hi, I'm a flub". I don't drink, I'm pretty critical, and consider "listening for flubs" part of the concert "sport".

Highlights for me: AC/DC bag, Vultures, Sand (good jam), Roses, Reba (nailed it), Antelope (very high energy), Birds (I love Birds), Tweezer, Chalk Dust, RandR, 2001, Faulty Plan and Suzy (high energy).

Another highlight was watching John K from Furthur try to pretend he could traverse the MPP parking lot without being recognized and stopped every 5 feet to shake people's hands. Sorry John, time to break out the fake mustache. John K and his wife stopped and shook every outreached hand. What would Jerry do (sorry, couldn't resist).

Lowlights: The mellow songs! They weren't played bad, I just can't stand when the energy from a show comes crashing down on me. With so much energy about, even Horse, ABQ, and Velvet Sea couldn't bring me down.

Can't wait for tonight.....

This was my first show, and it was just as great as I imagined it would be. I wasn't too familiar with Daniel Saw the Stone at the time, but it was a fun opener. AC/DC Bag was standard, while the Ocelot that followed it was an above average version. Next, came a couple of uncommon songs, Access Me and Vultures. This may be the best version of Access Me, although it has only been played four times. Vultures was not played perfectly, but it was a crowd pleaser, nonetheless. Wilson>Sand began a great run of songs to end the first set. The energetic Wilson had a psychedelic feel to it, as Trey tapped his way through the solo. There were a lot of great Sands in 2011, and this jazzy one is right up there with the best of them. Roses are Free had an extended ending; while it did not lead to a jammed out version of the song, it did segue into Reba. Reba is one of my favorite songs, and I was very happy to hear it at my first show. The composed section is solid, and I found this jam to be very contemplative and pretty. The first On Your Way Down of 2011 came next, and was teased in the scorching Antelope that closed the first set. I think this first set may be even better than the second set, but the second set has its own highlights.
Birds of a Feather and Tweezer were average, fun versions. Tweezer was followed by The Horse>Silent in the Morning, as it was last year at MPP. Another song that had a very strong year, Waves, came next. Unfortunately, this version did not include the post-lyrics jam, which the other versions of the year had. Despite this, I really like Trey's playing in the first jam section. The transition to Chalkdust Torture was abrupt, but the BOAF infused CDT was very good. The meat of the second set consisted of versions of Rock and Roll and Piper that were given the storage jam treatment. The segue between Rock and Roll and Albuquerque was great. The end of the set had really high energy. Page was all over Suzy Greenberg.

I loved the 2nd set, flowed beutifully from high energy to mellow and back. Unlike camdens disjointedness. I aware I head a peaches tease in chalkdust, anyone else? Shame I had to drive home to boston for work on monday, they're playing the best in 3.0 now.

Glad they played Access Me, my girlfriend digs that song and I've become rather fond of it as well. Really dug the Daniel Saw the Stone and Vultures too. Wish they'd play all 3 of those a lil more. Can't complain at all about this tour. Bought the whole tour on accident... shame they wouldn't let me refund that without deleting my WHOLE livephish acct... Guess I'll just sell the copies of the whole first leg for 5-20 bucks a pop at SuperBall. kidney bean rap!

Suzy, What!!!!!!

daniel saw the stone was a surprise! trey took a sign from the audience and showed it to the rest of the guys. everyone agreed and there you go. wilson was amazing. trey went off on a sort of a tapping solo. run like an antelope was awesome as always. great 1st set. highlights were ocelot, reba and daniel saw the stone.

birds of a feather wasnt the best to begin the 2nd set. a little weak, but pleasurable. tweezer sort of surprised me. horse>silent in the morning were ok, just to lower the energy a little bit. waves>chalk dust was a little choppy. i could tell trey just wanted to get into it immediately. stealing time was great, as well as a high energy suzy.

show of life sucks, but tweezer reprise nailed the end.
