[1] Trey sang verses through megaphone.
[2] Without microphones.
[3] Simpsons signal.
[4] Stopped twice. Trey allegedly forgot the lyrics.
Performers: Trey Anastasio, Page McConnell, Jon Fishman, Mike Gordon
Notes: Trey sang the verses of Fee through a megaphone. Adeline and Carolina were performed without microphones. Antelope contained a Simpsons signal. Trey stopped Lizards after forgetting the lyrics. He took advantage of the break to welcome his grandfather and explain to him that they don’t usually mess up like that. Upon restarting the song, Trey realized that he still didn’t remember the second verse, so he stopped the song again and asked the audience for help. During the second break, he explained the Big Ball Jam to the crowd and claimed that he didn’t really forget the words to Lizards, he just wanted to explain the Big Balls. Fish was introduced before Rosie as “Henrietta, Eyeball Man.” Before Hood, Trey noted: “Hope everyone has a nice day tomorrow. Don’t feed any turkey to your dog.”
This show was part of the "1992 Fall Tour."
Ok, we start off with a good Buried Alive and Poor Heart to get settled in. Not bad besides the feedback. Then we have another opener song with the Landlady and more feedback. Not settled in yet? Mike wrecks Fee right out of the gate coming in early. It was ok. Then Trey keeps on his harmonics going into Maze making this intro awkward too. Again, just ok for this one. Page rocks as usual. Sparkle is normal. It's Ice has timing problems throwing Page off vocally in the second verse. The whole thing was a little rough. Coil was a little redemption song tonight after that Ice. Page is great as usual. Cavern is pretty good. Sounds like Trey is teasing Metallica or something. They stop and throw in the Adeline, with much shushing, before the last note. Antelope sounds extra groovy tonight. Good jam but this one has a weak climax for my taste. Nice closer for an ok set.
Well I wish I could say that it got better but, not really. Monitor feedback stayed here and there. Chalk Dust was a solid opener until the very end got blown. Foam was pretty good. FEFY was nice as this one gets better every time. Trey blows the intro to YEM making it somewhat awkward all the way through. The vocal jam was good and included sounds like "Don't sit on my jacket!" and ended very pirate like from Fishman. Lizards' second verse was completely forgotten by Trey making everyone laugh. After a shout out to Grandpa and a Big Ball explanation they finish it in style like nothing happened right? Tweezer is a pretty good jam leading right into the HYHU jam. Fish explains that he got new cymbols while Page and Mike go over the music to Rosie. My Sweet One was fine. No problems. Tweeprise was pretty normal. Sub-par set.
Hood had some weak spots like before the Mr. Minor part but, was otherwise ok. Sounds like Trey was teasing Demolition Man by The Police. For some reason the crowd likes to tease Carolina, so again, we have another one tonight bringing the show to a close.
Just not locked in tonight. Bad beginings and endings on songs and forgotten lyrics make this a really below average show. Not to be too harsh but, they are better than this.
