A brass and fern bar downtown with most of the 20 or so people at the bar more interested in sitting in the elevated bar section and drinking drinks and eating meals, more than watching the band on the wooden parquet dancefloor below. Most of the show the dancefloor had just 3 people, me and two friends, one of whom was Trey's sister Kristy. I had tried to patch into the soundboard to no avail; Paul had recently implemented a no-board-patch policy because someone had recently either spilled a beer on the board and/or unplugged something from it to plug in their recorder. During intermission and after the show the band had drinks at the bar. Fishman wanted to party in the hotel room, but for some reason that escapes me now many years later, we declined.

How in the world did someone get this setlist? I'm 99% certain that there were no audience tapers. Did Paul tape this one and finally release it? If so, would greatly, greatly, greatly appreciate getting this show for personal reasons.

I am the other dude with Odeo and Kristy at this show, twenty years ago today!! Little did we know what was ahead for us with the boys... We saw them at Cat's Cradle the night before (with about 20 people), and as the show ended, we picked our jaws up from where they had dropped onto the floor, went to the merch table and asked, "WHERE IN THE HELL ARE THESE GUYS PLAYING TOMORROW NIGHT?!?!?!?"

Kristy drove us down, and we listened to Junta on the way down. What a weekend...

Someone has to have a copy of this show!!
