Review by TimberCarini

TimberCarini This was the show I knew they were back. The Merriweather 2009 show was uninspired at best, and boring at worst. This Sunday night show had all of the elements of a great Phish show with solid playing as the underpinning - which is essential to making the whole thing a success. Bustouts and rarities galore - Walfredo, Mellow Mood, Tela, My Soul, Brian & Robert, Jumpin Jack Flash - plus the Saw It Again thread running through the songs in the second set made for an immersive experience being at the show. It was 100 degrees that day in Maryland, so the band knew they were getting a sweat drenched crowd in need of a strong performance to push on through. The girls next to us in the pit had brought a special Saw It Again sign, while we brought a La Grange sign. They clearly won that battle, while Phish won the war.
