phishatmsg Fishman appeared at Northbowl in Northern Liberties Philadelphia as part of his ongoing effort in support of the Bernie Sanders campaign and was joined by keyboard wizard Eli Winderman of Dopapod, Ian McGuire of CIA (both on keys), Clay Parnell of Particle alternating on bass, and the Muscle Tough trio of Joe Baldacci, Jon Coleman and Ross Bellenoit who helped filled this crew with all the right stuffing. The crew jammed out to some possible Muscle Tough songs, a few covers and even a Madonna's Borderline, with Winderman crushing it on keys. That guy played the full night and is definitely wiz on the keys. Fishman finally caught up with the gang after a long night of meet and greets with phans, some getting right into topics of NCAA Basketball or Ice Hockey and others of course prodded with Phishy questions about songs, tour rumors, and what Fishman eats for breakfast.

Representatives from the Bernie Sanders campaign were present and diligently engaging prospective registrants at the event, as yesterday was the last day to register in Pennsylvania. Philadelphia was the drummer's first stop in continuing his support for the presidential candidate after recording the most recent Phish album in Nashville with all three other members of the band and producer Bob Ezrin. Fish covered good ground in Philly making stops at the south Philly coffee shop Cinemug, Philly Sweettooth and finally north-ways at Northbowl. The event was conveniently timed with the Sanders campaign's opening of a Philadelphia office this past Saturday where the headquarters opened along East Passyunk Avenue in South Philadelphia.
