Definitely a smokin' show! The guys were a little rusty from their time
off,
but once the show got rolling, they were out of control! A few notes:
after
Sparkle, they started the vamp for Buried Alive, and Trey proceeded to
tell
the audience a bit of his family history -- his family is originally from
the
New Haven area and 16 of his relatives, including his 84 year old
grandfather,
were in attendance tonite. He finished and started playing the melody to
Buried Alive, and then they seemed to change their minds and started
Glide,
dedicating it to all his family.

Set II was hot. I was especially psyched to hear Sloth, Lizards, and
Harry
Hood. The vocal jam after YEM was REALLY good.

I predict that It's Ice and Sparkle will be on the new album as well as
Maze
and Rift -- it is interesting to note the little things, such as Trey and
Page taking breaths at the same time when they sing together, and added
organ
parts and the like which seem to be new since the spring and sound like
things that would have been added in the studio.

It was great to see them again. Hello to Lee, and see y'all on New Year's
Eve!

Happy New Year!
Tony
