Parke's Semi-Official Biography Arrives

Phish: The Autobiography, by former senior editor of Rolling Stone Parke Puterbaugh, is now off the presses and into fan's hands. This "all-access pass to the life and times of Phish" includes sixteen pages of rare photos. Kirkus called it "an even-keeled evaluation" and "a must for Phishheads”; and Publishers Weekly called it "a consistently lucid and revelatory look" at the band.

tmwsiy A must?
Revelatory?

Those are two phrases that least come to my mind after reading this. I would not call it garbage, but pretty close. Despite the access that was afforded Parke, it stil seems like he was not that close and didn't offer a good perspective. I found most of the book boring and there was no much (if anything) that hadn't been said, printed, written elsewhere. Too bad, I think this really missed the mark.
