Phish.net: a Project of the Mockingbird Foundation

NEW: mobile.phish.net

Posted 2 years ago by Lemuria - 3 comments - Link: http://phi.sh/cen7v

Now you can check news, setlists, statistics, song histories and more from the comfort of your own mobile device, with a slimmed-down, cell-friendly version of Phish.net. Use either mobile.phish.net or m.phish.net. Plus, if you first visit phish.net and login, a cookie will be set on your device and log you in automatically when you return, and you'll see a new link on every setlist called Your Gap Chart (where "your" is your username) to show you the last time you saw each song from that show performed live. Check that during or throughout any show - such as from the festival grounds this weekend in Indio.

zodaboLooks great... The mainpage should either have an active show link, or for the current tour, the newest show should be at the top so the user can avoid having to scroll all the way down to access the current show (for instance, tonight at Indio...).

jacklMy iPhone wasn't loading at the festival site in Indio, because we were in "EDGE" (GRPS) slooooow territory...but as soon as we got back on the swanky tour bus from the day parking lot back to our swanky digs at the LaQuinta hotel it seemed, we got back onto a 3G network and loaded the setlist instantly on the iPhone!

Very very nice indeed!

And getting back to the hotel and firing up a laptop that's on an Ethernet connection here, it was nice to log into the site and see that 35 people had already logged in to say they'd been at the show! Also nice!

Saw many Phishnetters at the show.

We've come a long way in festival organization since Sugarbush! The organization by the Valley Music Travel people runs like the Swiss trains.

LemuriaGreat idea! Our webmaster (Adam) is at the fest, but I'll do what I can to tweak this (without breaking things) tonight so that it's ready for the other 2.

This mobile path ROCKS, imho (yay, Adam), but has far to go. SOO much that we can do with, SOO much great data here that we can feed to it. Thanks for the feedback, all suggestions welcomed and encouraged! :)
