When And What Was The "Reunion"?

The FAQ is currently in the process of being updated in the new system. We apologize for any inconvenience, and will be updating this page as soon as possible.

Though Phish has returned from several hiatuses (including one official hiatus from 2000 to 2002), they've had (so far?) one official breakup from which they returned for a reunion at Hampton Coliseum in March of 2009.

For most of the five-years following the official breakup, there were "no current plans" for a reunion. But things change, and some never believed that the breakup really was, as announced, permanent. Even media started talking about it differently, including for example Relix, who eventually referred not to a breakup but an "indefinite hiatus" (the terminology the band and their management used for the official hiatus). Nonetheless, any conversation about a reunion was referred to as "The Brahphecy" on PhantasyPhish message boards.

My theory has always been,
that if we are to dream,
the flatteries of hope are as cheap and pleasanter
than the gloom of despair.

But the only time that seems too short
Is the time that we get to play
