moonofjupiter I was at Boise that night.
Every single song played was jam chart worthy. Even the ballads, if there was such a place for them. With that said, along came Bag. Second set...unusual placement. No one thought what was going to happen would. Mind you, we are in Idaho one year after the “snooze you lose” Utah Dark Side event. And here it is 99 and first time since 92 there was no Utah show. So guess whom was largely in attendance for the Boise show? Utahans. I know this because I was one of them. I did the whole 99 west run from Vancouver to Shoreline but still was aware that anyone in Utah or Idaho or Wyoming not Nevada or Montana who wanted a single show drive to this little college basketball court.
And along came this show.
The feeling during Bag was a lot like Dark Side. It was (I cannot believe how amazing this is and it just keeps going and going). Pin drop diligently listening, each of us was.
During and after we all knew it was a historical moment web then.
It was a sheer 15 minutes of straight “hose” taboot.
Long live the Boise Bag. And like, Utah Dark Side, the band has not been back since. (Albeit they came back once in 03 to Utah and destroyed the venue) but not to either place since.
