Billy Breathes Tunes
Nice job @MIckeyjoe86 - how did you possibly guess all of those? Not just guessing the songs, but the version? Seems almost mathematically impossible....
There seems to be a huge misconception that the folks who win MJMs just recognize the tunes / guess them. It is extremely rare for someone to solve a multiclip MJM just by "knowing" the jams outright. Instead, folks have an idea of the era, the year, or the tour, and get clues about what song it could be based on the jamming or the key it's in, and then go hunting. I'm willing to bet that @mickeyjoe86 recognized at most 1-2 of these clips, thought maybe it could be. Billy Breathes theme, then went hunting for the other two on phish.in or PhishTracks. Before phish.in / PhishTracks the MJM was almost always a single clip, and it took a while for someone to answer if it wasn't recognized right away. When those sites came online, it became trivial to scan a song version in 30 seconds to see if it matched, and the MJMs started falling in an hour almost every week. That's why we moved to the multiclip + a theme format: it takes a little more time to figure out, but it's more of a puzzle and exposes folks to more music without being much harder (this weeks nothwithstanding).
@uctweezer is pretty much right on the money here. I recognized clip one from the LP CDs that I had in days of yore and clip four from recent heavy rotation of the BD shows. From there, I picked up on the theme. I heard a 3.0 Caspian in clip three and jump on Phishtracks and got lucky with it. Narrowed the other songs with 'jamming potential,' picked up on an era and went from there.

Basically, theme first then era and song recognition.
