mblum 11/1 is my best of 2013 if not best ever. It had it ALL, plus that x-factor intangible. Intimacy; playfulness; energy; an endless highlight reel. It was something so special. My 20th anniversary (for their 30th) and the best show I've ever seen. Then again, I've said that more than once!--forgive me it's Phish!

And Tahoe Tweezer: my best friend was on his knees crying and laughing with such joy after. Everyone was hugging everyone. And high-fiving, woooing and fist pumping, with jaws dropped. Incredulous. Yet there it was. For real. It was divine. I still have goosebumps six months later. We--the crowd and the band, we knew while it unfolded how pure it was. How monumental. If I thought there was no chance my wife would ever read this I would say I've basically lived for that.

After TT, my favorite performance of the summer is BGCA I Seven Below. Merits your revisit and epitomizes that most important Phish lesson, how it's all in the recovery.
