Final comment on the Reading show....

My only real criticism of the show, and it's purely from a personal interpretation, was the Piper into Backwards.

I LOVE BDTNL, and usually disagree with posters who criticize its 2nd set appearances, however in this case I felt Mike and Fishman had set the stage perfectly for Trey to take the reigns and bring Piper to a heart-stopping peak of epic proportions. The tention and buildup were intense.

Instead, Trey allowed the tension to drift into the mist and dramatically changed the tone and feel as he chose to segue into Backwards. A great version of the song, yet I think if he had properly mined the Piper as it had been developed that there would be absolutely NO DOUBT in anyone's mind as to what the best show of year was.

Anyways.....enough. Just saying.
