TennesseeJed I had been searching for the best way to describe my feelings for Friday vs Thursday, and all it does is show why I'm not a writer. Your summation ... "nothing from Friday’s show matched the heights scaled in the second set on Thursday, but Friday was a slightly more balanced affair" is closer than I could have gotten. I really enjoyed the smooth ride through Friday more than the on / off performance of Thursday.
