MrJones two songs one poem:

Westward bound we rode that day
Hats pulled low on our brows
Another day’s ride behind us lay
Texas is where we are now

That’s when we saw the riders there
Hiding behind a knoll
Instinct stopped us dead in our tracks
Not knowing precisely our roles
Guns were drawn into the air
Showdown begun, God bless our souls

Silently we looked back and forth
Every man thinking the worst
Eli lit out upon his horse
Many a cartridge did burst

Before we knew it the riders were dead
Anyone breathing we killed
Be warned you fools the last one said
Your victory will quick turn to dread
Last one buried was holding a sack
Only contents a bill
Notice due, your soul it read

Before us an deafening shrill
Across the knoll the devil did head
Bewildered he looked upon us and he said
You’re not who I thought, but you’ll do instead
