MYSTERY JAM MONDAY PART 111

It's time for the Mystery Jam here at Phish.net... Pauly Edition! This MJ was hand picked by one of the members of the Mystery Jam Faculty and seven-time winner, @pauly7917. As usual, we will be playing for an MP3 download, courtesy of our friends at LivePhish.com / Nugs.Net. The rules haven't changed: you need to correctly identify the song and the date to win. Post your guess in the comments. One guess per person per day (with the second “day” starting after I post the hint). A hint will be posted on Tuesday (if necessary) and the answer will be posted on Wednesday. Good luck...

Wednesday Answer: congratulations to Kipmat for nailing down the 5/23/88 "Light Up or Leave Me Alone." For a minute there I thought Pauly was going to strike gold on his first MJ but, as the Blog has experienced many times before, it only takes one person to solve even the hardest Mystery Jam. See you all on Monday...

It's a total trap. It's not in the right key for YEM, Bowie, or Antelope... which are the three I can place this in. Then again, back then especially, what the hell did which key it was *supposed* to be in matter anyway? Also, if it's from the 80s there's a decent chance the tapes are sped up or slowed down, throwing the intended key out the window. I swear I've heard this before but I can't find it in my collection...
, comment by uctweezer
uctweezer There's a short tease in there, but the tease chart is leading me astray right now... it might not be annotated (yet!).
, comment by uctweezer
uctweezer Sounds like an '89 Bowie with an unannotated Woody Woodpecker tease. I give up. My shot in the dark for the day is: David Bowie 2/6/89.

Phacemelter Some weird thinking, but Jam 111, 1+1+1=3, so i came up with 11/3.... Bowie with Antelope Style Jammin'. Fingers Crossed as this is my first guess on MJM
, comment by MiguelSanchez
MiguelSanchez nice pick pauly. pulled one out that i've never heard before. gonna have to look this one up and get a taste of the whole jam. is it time for an 80's kick? i haven't dug that far back in some time....
